Desert Ritual | House of Medicine was born from the belief that medicine should move in rhythm—with the body, the seasons, and the land that shapes us. What began over a decade ago as The Healing House of New Mexico has evolved into a concierge naturopathic medical practice where primary care, longevity medicine, and regenerative aesthetics exist as one thoughtfully integrated philosophy. Founded by Dr. Jessyca Franco-Chavez, NMD, and Morgann Balkcom, MA, Desert Ritual reflects a lifelong commitment to root-cause medicine, prevention, and the understanding that true healing occurs when science and tradition are thoughtfully woven together. While Desert Ritual serves as our clinical home, The Healing House Concepts, our nonprofit community initiative, carries this mission beyond the walls of the practice through health literacy, lifestyle medicine, and community education.

The Healing House Concepts was born from that understanding. Founded by Dr. Jessyca Franco-Chavez, NMD, this community-rooted nonprofit reimagines healthcare by bringing medicine beyond the clinic and back into daily life. Through teaching kitchens, food-as-medicine programs, community gatherings, herb walks, environmental wellness, storytelling, and accessible health education, we help individuals and families transform ordinary routines into meaningful rituals that cultivate lifelong health.
